Meet Schedule (tentative) One of the best parts about being on the Ashton Swim Team is participating in the weekly meets! There are A Meets (Saturday Mornings, Offical Competition) and B Meets(Wednesday Evenings, Unoffical Competition). Who swims? Everyone! We encourage all swimmers to particpate. 7.10.12 MCSL Coaches Long Course Meet @ Rockville 7.28.12 ALL STAR RELAYS @ ROCKVILLE 7.29.12 ALL STAR INDIVIDUAL @ ROCKVILLE
A Meets -Coaches select the swimmers for the A Meets and these swimmers are usually but not always the fastest swimmers. IT IS IMPARATIVE THAT YOU NOTIFY THE COACH ON THE TUESDAY PRIOR TO THE A MEET IF YOU WILL NOT BE HERE. To have the best chance at winning a meet, all lanes should be filled. B Meets - Swimmers select the events they would like to swim. Swimmers who swam in the previous Saturdays A Meet can swim at the B Meet provided they do not swim any event that they swam at the A meet. Relay Carnival - a fun and festive all relay meet with all 6 teams of Division - Coaches select swimmers for this event. Relays that take first place go on to swim in the All-Star Relay meet held on 8/1 at the Rockville. Coaches Long Course - This is an qualifying/invitational meet and is for the top 10 swimmers in the county for each age group. Divisionals - Coaches select the top two swimmers in each event for each age group. This is the final team meet with the entire Division. All-Stars - Rockville - All Relays that placed first compete in this event on Saturday 7/30/11. Individual swimmers who have TOP 16 times in their age group compete in this event on Sunday 7/31/11.
