Welcome Ashton Alligators Swim Team!
The Ashton Alligator Swim Team is a member of the Montgomery County Swim League offering training and competition for all ages and swimming ability. For the 2012 season we will compete in the H Division. Division assignments are based upon the previous seasons wins as well as swimmers times.
We strive to make Summer swimming an enjoyable athletic experience for the whole family. Our goal is to create a fun and wholesome environment while developing stroke skills, endurance, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. With hard work, there is success - be it making it across the length of the pool to making it to the Allstar Meet at the end of the season.
Our season is approximately 8 weeks long starting right after Memorial Day. We compete in 5 (A) Dual Meets, 4 (B) Dual Meets, a Fun Relay Carnival in the middle and close the season with a Divisional Meet against all 6 teams in our division. Swimmers who have qualifying swims and are top 8 in the county, swim in the prestigious Coaches Long Course Meet. If a team relay places 1st at the Relay Carnival they will participate in the All-Star Relay Meet the Saturday after Divisionals. Top 16 swimmers in the county participate in the Individual All-Star Meet the Sunday following Divisionals.
